About Me
As long as I can remember I have always loved horses, being around them, caring for them, riding and most importantly forging a partnership with them. I believe that a strong partnership with your horse is key whether competing or simply enjoying hacking out.
In July 2013 I gained a City and Guilds Extended Diploma in Horse Management, including modules in care, nutrition, anatomy and Equestrian Teaching.
I am a competing member of British Dressage and also a silver member of the British Grooms Association.
In Dressage I compete both unaffiliated and affiliated, with my two horses Willis and Alfie. I have competed with Alfie to Elementary level in affiliated competition and to Medium level unaffiliated. I have been a Trailblazers Championship Finalist from 2009 to 2014 at Prelim, Novice and Elementary levels and an individual bronze medalist at Elementary level at the British Dressage Inter County Team Competition in 2013. In 2015 I took Willis to the Sheepgate Under 25's Championships at Novice and in 2017 to the British Dressage Winter Scottish Regional Championship. In 2022 I took our rescue Gypsy Cob to the BD Associated Championships at Prelim, with a great result for this inexperienced but totally honest pony.
Back on the ground, I adopt high standards of care and firmly believe that the well-being and work / life balance of each horse is critical to our success as riders, whatever discipline we choose to follow.
I would love to help you in your partnership with your horse or pony, and the services I can provide are listed here and you can also contact me here.
