When I first started having lessons with Katie my confidence was rock bottom. I had endured 6 months of a badly behaved, spooky and tense horse. Having been dumped more times than I care to mention this was the last chance for Roo... he was up for sale and I felt like I'd failed. 4 months down the line and what can I say... Katie has given me my horse back... he is a reformed character and our dressage scores went from 52% with comments like spooky and lacks concentration, to 68% within a few weeks with comments like lovely obedient horse and relaxed. Roo responds really well to her and seems to enjoy her lessons. She is calm and understanding about his unique behaviour! Thank you Katie

Katie started to ride my cob Flashy at the beginning of the year when I decided to not show him as much and to take up dressage. Flashy was only a baby and struggled with the movements that more mature horses found easy. In the space of a few months Flashy was more supple, light in the contact and wanting to learn. For a cob he is a very sensitive boy and Katie is so soft and kind with him. At Easter I got the go ahead for my sports horse to start work again after 18 months off due to horrific injuries. Fuzzy is the softest horse who needs a quiet, sensitive rider. Fuz loved Katie straight away, he went from a spooky tense horse to working in a beautiful soft outline.

Flashy is now doing BD and never comes away unplaced, he was Dressage North East champion, qualified for Riding Club champs and also qualified for Riding Club dressage to music finals; most recently he won his class at the Great Yorkshire Show! This little horse has achieved so much in such a short time and I can't thank Katie enough. As for Fuzzy, our dreams have come true and he has qualified for HOYS at only his third show back out!!!!! Fuzzy is now planning some dressage to get him to the area finals with his little brother Flashy.

I can't recommend Katie enough, if the above results don't speak for themselves then I don't know what will. She helps the horses develop attitudes to keep trying their best. I only see the horses at a weekend due to my job and am a bit OCD over who  handles/rides them. I trust Katie 110% to do anything on them with regular updates though out the week on the progress.

I decided to have lessons from Katie as I already knew her from college. Originally it was to school Fletcher for me, but after having me ride a couple of times she suggested that I ride all the time as he responded better with already being used to me (and my sack of spuds backside!). He is going fantastically now, in such a short time he is totally transformed, not only in his abilities and schooling but in his way of thinking and I can get more out of him now, (fair enough not perfect or I wouldn't need Katie anymore!), than I ever could in the 2 and a half years I have owned him. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Katie for all her help and support she has given me. Just when I was about to give up horses, she has restored all faith and confidence in my capability and in my horses, and not to worry about others opinions. After a short time she has taken me from being in the low 60's dressage to now being in low 70's, and we are now British Dressage registered. Not only giving me confidence she is extremely reliable and never lets me down. She often pops to see me wherever I am competing to give me last minute advice. After trying many things to get my very difficult mare to work and calm down I finally decided to get some lessons and I am so pleased I did! katie is full of good suggestions and ideas and is incredibly helpful to have watching from the floor. I've been getting weekly lessons with Katie since the end of March and the work she has done with me and Mac is amazing. When I bought Mac I'd not ridden for many years and Mac hasn't really been ridden, and we tried schooling but never managed much. So Katie has been teaching us both together. I couldn't get Mac to even walk around the school, never mind anything else. He used to spook and run off with me and I felt he didn't listen to me. To be honest I probably wasn't giving him the correct signals. Since working with Katie he is no longer spooking, has 3 lovely paces and is working well in the school. He's like a different horse! 

Katie understands Mac and is very sympathetic with how he works and thinks and tailors her teaching style to what works best for him. If I'm unsure Katie will get on Mac and show us how to do it. When we were out hacking I didn't have great control and he would gallop off so  fast; since working with Katie he has a lovely controlled canter. I can't recommend Katie enough!

I was looking for a good instructor and I found Katie on Facebook and she replied straight away when I messaged her. I booked a lesson as I wanted to build up my confidence as I was left feeling nervous as my horse kept putting in bucks every time I asked for canter. Katie said we will take it slowly and gave me loads of advice. By the end of the lesson I cantered without a buck in sight! I can put in practice what she taught me and I know he will probably put in a buck at some time but with the lessons I think I should be able to cope with them better! Katie is a fab teacher and I would recommend her to anyone. Thanks Katie,  I am looking forward to my next lesson!

I had emailed loads of instructors to comer out and teach my 4 year old daughter but they were either too expensive, didn't get back to me or just weren't flexible enough for our awkward hours. Over the moon with our new teacher Katie. My daughter's confidence was beaming after only one lesson. After a few falls and losing confidence we contacted Katie for some private lessons. Katie is very friendly and reassured my daughter to try cantering again. Now within a few weeks she's tried jumping and has learned the basics of dressage. Fab teacher who will go far in her career!

I recently took on a part loan and wanted to have a weekly lesson to build my confidence with him and him with me. Having looked on the internet and social media sites, I found quite a few freelance instructors however Katie was the only one with a website that is very professional and informative and all the client feedback was excellent. I contacted Katie and arranged for a lesson the second day I had him, I had only ridden him twice before this and we were still getting used to each other - he was testing me to see how much he could get away with! After the first 10 minutes Katie had him sussed, he wanted to do  what he wanted to do, he wanted to stop when he wanted and went to the gate when he thought he'd done enough work. Katie pushed us both in our first lesson - mainly me out of my comfort zone! And we finished the lesson on a positive note.

I had a second lesson albeit a few weeks later due to him losing a shoe, which again went really well, he was a lot more forward going and I felt he enjoyed it too! Katie is very friendly and approachable, she explains everything in a way you can fully understand and uses examples of her experiences. Her lessons have a very relaxed atmosphere and I have never felt uneasy or unsure. I will be using Katie again and have another lesson booked in! I would fully recommend Katie, she has been a great confidence giver! :)

I have only had a few lessons with Katie and I can highly recommend her as an instructor. I'm in my sixties and just got back into riding again after 30 years absence. She doesn't treat me like an old person and pushes me on and gives me confidence.
